The wine produced in their space wasn’t harmful to the body, but drinking too much could cause prolonged drowsiness and discomfort. Mo Yan wasn’t about to let her father suffer from that!
Mo Qingze still tried to reach for the jar but was feeling increasingly dizzy and uncomfortable. Frowning, he eventually gave up and picked up his chopsticks to eat some steamed meatballs.
However, despite several attempts, his trembling chopsticks failed to pick up a single meatball. Frustrated, he slapped the chopsticks on the table and grumbled, “I’m not eating anymore; it’s too difficult!”

She composed herself and asked cautiously, “Father, are you hiding something from me?”
Mo Qingze looked at his eldest daughter, seemingly not understanding her question.
Just as Mo Yan was about to ask again, his grip on her wrist loosened, and his previously clear eyes became glazed again. His head fell to one side, and he fell asleep once more.
Mo Yan, despite her many concerns, couldn’t help but be both amused and exasperated by the situation. She shook her head, covered her father with a blanket, and, burdened with worries, walked with Xin’er back to the front courtyard.
On the way, Xin’er, unaware of her sister’s thoughts, cheerfully said, “I didn’t expect Father to have such a childish side. I’ll definitely tell him about it when he wakes up. Haha!”
